Since this was one of the earliest apps built for a retina iPad device, we faced completely new challenges with scroll performance when browsing recipes. Using retina quality images slowed the app down considerably in the initial stages and we had to figure out a series of optimisations that helped us deliver the ability to deliver great experiences in future apps that used a lot of media for customers like Booths.(less)

- Building a custom UI framework that worked seamlessly across multiple devices in a web browser. We had to use Javascript technology with external consultants to help architect the UI framework.

- Developing and implementing an algorithm that allowed us to rank performance of students taking into account complexities like number of people rating them, median of their ratings, highest/lowest rating etc.
